STORY OF THE ART
"This set features striking motifs inspired by traditional Japanese folklore. The menacing imagery of the Oni demon blends seamlessly with elements that evoke war, strength, and power and are often depicted as fearsome and powerful beings, representing the darker aspects of human nature.
The back showcases crossed Oni Speakrs. Historically, these were double edged weapons used during times of conflict, symbolising resilience and the warrior spirit.”
Incorporating fiery elements throughout the design, I aimed to evoke the sense of wrath, intensity, and the scorching realm of Jigoku. The flames flow seamlessly over skulls, representing the relentless nature of these forces."
